The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is committed to having a workforce that is representative of the communities we serve. To this end, we are specifically seeking applicants from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Backgrounds for this role.  The Households into Work Team has experienced significant challenges in engagement with workless households from these communities.  Evidence supports the use of Employment Advocates who are representative of those communities as being an effective method of increasing this engagement, which will in turn help to address the significant inequalities that Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities experience.  On this basis a recruitment exercise for these posts targeted specifically at applicants from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Backgrounds is permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

We offer a guaranteed interview scheme for all candidates who met the essential criteria in the job description and who have declared that they: have a disability, are from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background, are a member of a reservist or have close family links to a member of the Armed Forces as we are under-represented by people from these communities.
