About the Role

We are looking for experienced Evaluation Officers to join the Performance, Research and Evaluation team and play a key role in developing evidence on the impact that Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s policies, interventions and programme are making across the region.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a range of different service areas across the LCRCA, and wider partner stakeholders, to promote, advise and deliver evaluation activities that build evidence for what works in designing future public interventions in the region.

The role will involve design, delivery and commissioning of evaluation activity to inform policy development; and the design and improvement of LCRCA interventions and programmes.

This will include the preparation of monitoring and evaluation plans, management of internal evaluation research, and the commissioning and management of external suppliers; in addition to the delivery of monitoring and evaluation best practice tools and insight guides for use by service providers and projects.


About the person

You will have strong track record and experience of working in an evaluation role and measuring the performance and impact of a wide range of projects and programmes. 

In depth knowledge of evaluation techniques and an understanding of the principles guiding social research, including quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, scoping logic models or theories of change and designing effective measurement frameworks will be essential.
