- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including combined authority and local authority partners, and venues, suppliers and private sector businesses to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of event professionals (often external), fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Performance Measurement and Reporting: Track event performance against key metrics, analysing results, and reporting on event success.
- Destination Promotion: Actively promote the destination as a premier location for visitor and investment opportunities, showcasing its unique attractions and capabilities.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with event planning and execution, ensuring the safety and security of participants.
- Industry Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with event industry professionals and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Innovation and Creativity: Explore new event concepts and formats, seeking innovative ways to enhance the event experience and attract new business.
- Policy: Be responsible for LCRDPs event management policies and procedures.
